Stocking Books Old and New
My being a voracious reader got into me ever since I could remember. Thanks to my late father and our eldest sister who influenced me much. Back during my student life, stocking books old and new was my thing. A trip to this favorite bookstore of mine back home became a daily habit to check out sales and bargains of my favorite self-help books, history, biographies, health and fitness, love and relationships, fiction, and religious publications! Yep, my saved allowances can be seen by how my bedroom looked like a ‘mini’ library to most of my friends. Now though, I kinda feel like I have partially taken a break from reading. Oh yeah, my worsening eye condition is one factor as it disables me to do my nightly routine of bedtime reading. Aside from a trip to the public library to be updated with what’s the latest on shelves, Amazon books I must say are a must to be checked out, too. Now that I have a kiddo who, I can tell is showing signs of loving books, I’m finding it as a huge consolation as that would mean I won’t be ending my love for books and reading anytime soon!
