Coins and Bills, Too!
Our birthday girl has been so aware of her special day. She keeps on counting the days till July 4th, not for the fireworks display but for her to finally be able to open the few presents on the table. Ha ha ha. I wrapped them for her without her knowledge and seeing them yesterday was a total surprise to her. And what else does she wants on her birthday? A challenge coin? Well, she is still too young for those gold coin investments but she has already three coins that are so special to her. Two of those coins are personalized, a quarter dollar with an engraved flower in it, and a penny with a patterned cross holed in it. Both were given by Mister Doug, an old folk from church who adored her. Mister Doug and his wife usually left our place during winter season to head to the South and do missionary things there, and only come back up when spring season starts, so for our two winters here in Stevens Point, he gave Triz two coins everytime he leaves. The third coin is a UK pound coin which Melds gave her. It’s accordingly a rare coin for collection purposes and so Triz has started it well enough!
Bur for her birthday though, she said she doesn’t need a coin! She needs bills so she can buy her grannies tickets so they can fly from Las Vegas to Stevens Point, WI! So thoughtful of her, but for now, it just won’t happen! Sorry, darling, but have a happy birthday to you! Lol.
