Father’s Day 2011
It’s Father’s Day today and we are officially home! Yes, we are! The weather is the reason as it’s been raining here in our neck of the woods since the thunderstorm started last night. We overslept today, like we woke up at 8:30am and got up thirty minutes later. We had fun laughing our morning away in bed– good enough to start our day and our Dadi’s special day.
We have some plans of shopping and we’re thinking of hitting the mall later; maybe there are Father’s Day specials that we can take advantage of. I’ve already spent more than an hour of singing my heart away to the many different tunes of songs from my Magic Sing microphone. I guess it was another reason why the rain didn’t stop from pouring down. Nevertheless, my lungs and diaphragm definitely had a great exercise.
We had steamed with butter sweet corn this morning for our breakfast along with the homemade bread in the table. For our lunch, we have lots of leftovers to eat from yesterday’s meals and the other day’s, too. I figured we don’t deserve to dine out if our fridge has lots of leftovers. I am hoping my housemates can empty the containers that we have with foods so we can eat outside later. Golden Corral sounds so enticing to me right now.
As for my Father’s Day tribute to my daughter’s father, I have this photo of the two of them. I know he liked it so this should be enough! Lol.

To all dads who are wonderful fathers in their own ways, may your today today will be a day that you will cherish for the rest of your life! I wish my own Papa is still alive. He has been resting in peace until the First Resurrection morning when Jesus comes again and raise the righteous from the grave, and until then, my Father’s Day will never be complete. I am thankful that my daughter gets to have a Father’s Day every year as the Lord wills.
How about Father’s Day gifts?
Sometimes it can be difficult to think of things to get for men on father’s day, or on other memorable events. There’s a great collection of mens clothing at www.kandco.com that you can check out to see if there would be anything that would be great to give as a present.
Enjoy your day with your loved ones, especially if you still have your own dad! Have a beautiful Sunday and a wonderful Father’s Day, again, to all daddies!
