Parenting Resources
Do you remember the time when you became a first-time parent? I still do, and I am sure I will never forget the moments, the tough moments when pregnancy hit me at my core; I’ve had the worst first trimester that I got traumatized by it until now. However, with all the experiences I’ve heard and all the readings I did, every pregnancy experience is different and accordingly, when it’s a bad first trimester on the first pregnancy, the next would be a smooth one. I am dwelling on that statement now that we are in the “trying to have our second baby” stage. And yes, parenting resources are great sites for me, and for so many other parents out there who are wanting to learn new things each day!
It was late 2005 when the pregnancy test gave a positive result on me. Since then, life has never been the same. I was a size 0 or 1 soul but since I reached 145 lbs as the heaviest when I almost gave birth to our now almost five-year-old daughter, now, I could hardly go down to such size as I endure the 6 or 8 sizes! HAH!
However, that’s my only complaint. Lol. Other than that, parenting is the most fulfilling and satisfying job in the world. Seeing my daughter now with lots of tricks, antics, talents, and intelligence that are new every day, every pain during the pregnancy, labor, and child birth are eased away! Having her meet us after school or work, every tiredness is gone effortlessly. Indeed, children make a difference in our lives, eh?
In the over four years of being a mom, believe me, I’ve learned a whole lot of things which I haven’t gotten in the academe. I am my daughter’s first teacher and she doesn’t know that she is also my teacher, letting me learn that unconditional love and child-like character are two of the best things in life that are free, and that, children can do best!
