Auto Obsession
It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the middle of a bustling city or way out in the sprawling ‘burbs, people are simply crazy for cars. Kids and grownups alike, we’re automotively insane. Sure, it’s mostly guys who are the big gearheads.
Even so, lots of females love cars and a lot of us women will, if we’re honest, admit that our heart might skip an extra beat when we see a handsome man driving a beautiful car. Brad Pitt in a beat-up Hyundai would still be Brad Pitt, but Brad Pitt in a Rolls Royce would be better still.
So, I guess it’s no wonder that so many guys are so into how their cars look. If they happen to drive, say, an old Mazda sports car like this one gentleman down the street, you know they’re going to be getting everything to pamper it and make it look perfect. In his case, that included even changing the exterior with an RX7 body kit. I didn’t even know those kits existed until I saw him tearing the outside of his car apart and adding new fenders and what not.
The guy must have spent at least a hundred hours or more on the thing. You could see him out there, cursing a blue streak when something went wrong or didn’t look right. Half the time I felt sorry for him (or was a little irritated) and the other half I thought it was kind of funny.
I had to admit, though, that it looked pretty cool when he was finally done with it. The extra gleam of the new body parts was something to behold. You could really see how much care he took to make that RX7 body kit really gleam. I think he said the kit he picked out was called “The Aggressor.” How macho of him!
