Debt Harassment

In today’s age when most of the middle-class citizens are without debts, most often than not, the hardship in becoming debt-free is a struggle. When there is not enough funds available to pay for what one owes, becoming indebted from so many credits, loans, and other financial burdens one is into is such a struggle. Add to that the burden of facing those debt collectors! They could be a source of stress and depression, if one doesn’t know how to take care of his or her debt records and responsibilities.
Did you know that under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a person who has a debt cannot be harassed into paying forcibly? Actually, just the mere ringing of a phone several times to be reminded of the debt cannot be done and the debtor has the right to appeal for privacy. The use of profane language is also not allowed for debt collectors. Showing the debtor that that the item bought (a car perhaps) is already on sale so he/she must pay is also prohibited by the law. Check how to stop collection harassment california.

At any rate, false representation is not allowed whether you are the debtor or the collector. That goes to say that using a check without necessary funds will in no way be favored. The law may be humane for those who are brought down financially by circumstance but it does not mean that estafa cases can simply go away without being punished by the law either so as a debtor, you have the choice to stop collection harassment for good if you’re responsible enough to pay your credits on time.
