What Christmas Means to Filipinos
I shouted at my Facebook wall yesterday when December 1st came that I miss being home more now that Christmas and New Year are very fast approaching. That’s because Filipinos celebrate the holidays with a spirit that you can never find from others. Ask any Filipino outside the country what they miss most about Christmas and they would say family gatherings and just how different the feeling is when you’re “home”.
I am shedding some tears a while ago while looking at this Youtube video spreading in Facebook right now. Gosh, I am so affected, and if you’re an OFW, I’m sure you will be, too. Watch it if you may:
I sure hope that next time, the three of us will be home for Christmas! It is not the same when it is spent and celebrated back home….
